Knock, knock who’s there

Matthew 7:7-11

Jesus encourages his followers to develop their relationship with God. God is a loving and generous Father. All we have to do is ask for his help, it’s not a passive stand still relationship as we seek we will find his way and when we knock we will discover his welcome.

God wont trick us or disappoint us? He wont take advantage of our weakness, or suddenly let us down? Jesus says that a human father, with all his failings, knows how to be kind and consistent with his child. Won’t our heavenly Father, who is perfect, be better still?

God wants the best for us, you may be riding a storm but there is light at the end of it. As we trust God and come to Him with our needs, He will follow through. You may have been let down in the past, you may have had a terrible relationship with your father. Dont tar God with the same brush.

Its time to give Him the chance to follow through, may you seek, may you ask and may you knock. And watch God move.
