Have you ever had one of those eye opening moments?

Have you ever had one of those eye opening moments, that woke you up to reality?

I did just the other day! One of my sons decided to run across the road. Since then we have invested in some reins.

But this event has had a profound effect on me. Up until that moment i had been doing life out of habit. One day rolled into the other.

It wasn’t until this scary moment that I woke up. What if something had happened to him. How that would change our lives. And again I was reminded how temporary life is.

How much trust we live from day by day. How easy it is to take life for granted.

How blessed I am to have such a wonderful family.

The truth is that life is only temporary and we need to make the most of it. I have made the decision to live for Christ and this effects my eternal destiny.

The sad thing is many of us don’t give much of a thought to our eternal destiny. Because like me recently, they have been walking in the haze of life, pressing in and onwards as if we live forever.

My prayer is if that’s you, that today you would look to meet with Jesus. That today you would give some thought to your eternal destiny.

Before you lose that opportunity.
