GROUPS
WELCOME TO OUR GROUPS PAGE
Some of our groups are online and some meet in person! They have the purpose of meeting to pray & worship together, to read and study the Bible, to encourage one another in God’s love.
OUR GROUPS ACROSS HEREFORDSHIRE
At Christian Life Church we believe we are called to community, to express our faith together. Life isn’t meant to be lived alone. Life groups are a great way of connecting with others at the same time in growing. We also desire inner transformation and life-long growth. Life groups are a great place to see that happen.
We are convinced that a “one size fits all” approach doesn’t work, so in 2018 we changed our small group activities to allow for greater variety and flexibility.
WHAT IS A LIFE GROUP?
A Life Group is a group of people with a leader(s) who commit to meet together on a regular basis around a shared purpose or activity.
Groups run for a term then have a break. Many, but not all, continue in the next term.
WHY SHOULD I JOIN A LIFE GROUP?
We encourage everyone to be part of (at least) one Life Group each term. They are a great tool to help us grow as a family, – we will get to know new people and encourage each other in our faith, as we study the Bible or exercise or create or serve etc.
Many Life Groups are also a great way to introduce friends who aren’t currently part of Church to the church and to Christ. They do not need to sign up to the Life Group, but it would be helpful to give the leader a heads-up that you’re inviting them.
Some groups are open to under 18s as indicated on the group’s description.
WHAT IF THERE ISN’T A GROUP THIS TERM DOING MY FAVOURITE THING OR WHAT I FEEL CALLED TO?
Consider where you could best serve others – or is there a group that one of your neighbours or work colleagues would enjoy attending with you? Step out and try something new! And why not volunteer to run a Life Group next term?
HOW DO I JOIN A GROUP?
Look at the list of groups at the top of this page.
Groups run termly. Sign up opens 2 or 3weeks before. Don’t worry if you have landed with us mid-term. We suggest if you have that you visit our “Belonging” group first, to get to know some leaders and a bit about us, and then dependant on the group you want to join, we can add you mid-term.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more, please contact the church office.
